Now A Days

4 08 2010

“Now a days, children don’t respect their parents the way they use to.”

“Now a days, you just can’t trust people.”

“Now a days, you can barely afford to breathe.”

You ever heard anything like this? It’s total disagreeable talk (doesn’t promote positivity / isn’t agreeable, which I feel we should spend MUCH more tine & Innergy doing) but you hear the truth in every statement that it proceeds.

When I hear that phrase “now a days”, my mind says “wait, what’s coming next is something that DIDN’T use to be like you’re getting ready to describe it presently.”  You mean to tell me children don’t respect their parents anymore? That people aren’t trustworthy any more? And that we live in such a “fear of lack”  that we actually suggest that one day air may have a cost? OMG!  Our thinking is messed up. But only for as long as we allow it to stay there by not embracing opportunities to “CHANGE”. And don’t act like you don’t know what I’m talking about either.  It’s the missed opportunities that cause the heavy hearts in older age or @ the end of a relationship or when we just sitting around reminiscing.   I used to do it & I know it wasn’t a solo exercise (meaning that so many of us have done it, we might as well be on the same team of “heavy hearters”).

But we can’t continue to let that type of Innergy escape your mouth into the ethers or 4 winds or heavens or any other space or place, WE DON’T NEED TO BE TALKING LIKE THAT NOW A DAYS!!!

Now a days, it is also not cool to look for disagreeable opportunities in which suffering  is the result so you can bounce back from it & say, “Look @ me, that’s the way it’s supposed to be.”   Nawwww, that’s not that bright. Let me explain. You don’t have to “come from nothing” to be “something”.  Poverty is not an excuse to get rich. Lot’s of “rich” people were also very rich and have a very nice family lineage that hasn’t experienced poverty in about 6 or 7 generations.

Excuse me, back to my example. I know a teenager who lives a less than middle class lifestyle and thinks that a rapper is his “FAVORITE” because he “came from nothing” & he “liked what he was talking about.” (This rapper is also facing LIFE in prison on multiple murder charges too.)   So I asked him, “What is he talking about? Celebrating how he used to have nothing  & that’s how you get rich is by having nothing?” I asked him.  “What are YOU waiting on?  You have something RIGHT NOW to start with.”  The blank look on his face was one of the main motivations for this particular blog.

What I realized in that exchange is that he is not alone either. He has been conditioned & socialized to think that ALL rich people “got lucky” and “used to be broke” and there is a strong chance that he will grow up with that vicious disagreeable mentality on into adult hood.

I HAVE TO  SUFFER TO HAVE.

That’s NOT True. (As matter of fact, it’s poisonous if you don’t mind me calling it what it is) Suffering is Optional. The Great work is a joy to undertake.  But how do we turn around our thinking? We have to want to change first. Then get happy about it.  Then write down what you want. You can have it. Don’t be scared. Be daring. Be courageous. Be Willing. Be Receptive. Be the Change. I promise you’ll like it. Then Our “Now a Days” will start to make better tomorrows and I KNOW we ALL can stand to see some better tomorrows. Tomorrows filled with more life, more fortune, more Innergy, more Love, just More.

What has to be done is writing our  MIRACLE LISTS  & HOW TO BOOKS on how we’re gonna fix ourselves & be change for ourselves & show that we’re not afraid of those “opportunities” disguised as obstacles & set backs. Set backs set up come backs, what you talking about? Eldgar Tollie’s New Earth talks about the pain body & those who have went through the most have the most potential to do the total opposites & manifest so much success in so many forms. So let’s do it.  I’m doing it & I know you can too.   When we see an “opportunity” we have to thank it & be grateful for it showing up when it did.

Free your Mind, the Rest will Follow.
